Carsebridge Distillery was situated in Alloa and was the perfect site. It had the nearby coal mines for fuel, the grain and malt could be delivered into Alloa harbour and it also had access to fresh water from the Gartmorn Dam. In its day Carsebridge used to produce around 1.7 million gallons of spirit. It was one of the biggest grain distilleries in Scotland. carsebridge was only ever bottled as single grain whisky and most can now be found through independent bottlers. The distillery closed in 1983 and the building was demolished however the cooperage was left open for a few years later.
A 34 year old Carsebridge distilled in 1982 and matured in a refill Sherry Butt.
