nVolume: 700ml           ABV: 50%           Age: 10 Years Old           Country: Scotland n nOld Ballantruan is distilled using heavily peated malted barley in the traditional manner. After sleeping for 10 years in hand-picked oak barrels, this whisky is then bottled at 50% alcohol volume and has no artificial colours and is none chill-filtered in order to retain its layered and integrated peaty flavours. n nThe excellent combination of sweetness and peat is now bolstered by a little bit more maturity. n

n nNose: Gently spicy with smokey “peat-reek” deliciously balanced by a sweeter creamy core. n nPalate: Some gentle peaty smokiness equipoised with a sweet, creamy, malty backbone. n nFinish: Climbing finish of sweetness gradually replaced with smokey depth. n
