Nant distillery is described as one of the most beautiful in the world and the whisky it produces does not fail to to compliment its looks. A unique combination of pristine natural environment and pure natural ingredients help make this delightful spirit.
The estate on which the distillery sits has been growing barley for 200 years which contributes to nearly one-third of its barley needs. Expect to see the Nant range grow as the distillery has more casks maturing and coming of age since its opening.
Distiller Jack Sellers has created a sweet and spicy whisky by taking only one 100 litre Sherry cask and allowing his spirit to mature for 4 years before reducing the alcohol percentage with local rain water and bottling this delicious whisky at 43% abv. At this strength the whisky is as smooth as it is balanced.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose:  Maple syrup is complimented with toasted almonds , lemon citrus, sultanas, figs and dates. There’s also an underlying subtle spice.
Palate: Rich vanilla toffee, orange peel and luscious sherry, oily with dried orchard fruits a great balance of oak.
Finish: Espresso, toasted hazelnuts and oak.
