This Grain Whisky is distilled in a “Coffey still”, which is a very traditional and rare patent still Nikka imported from Scotland in 1963. The Coffey still produces a complex whisky with a mellow and sweet taste originating from the grain itself. Please enjoy the uniqueness of this whisky which Nikka offers to the connoisseurs.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh fruity notes, vanilla and corn syrup. Melon and freshly chopped peppermint.
Palate: Very like a bourbon on the first sip. Again it’s fruity and sweet, the melon is there again and so is the vanilla. Digestive biscuits and peppermint crunch.
Finish: Lots of those corn notes, more sweetness and a long finish with a little mushroom and vanilla.
