When Nikka announced they were not releasing any further aged statement bottling’s of Yoichi or Miyagikyo single malt it was a sad time. We can be thankful however as the no age statement releases are now available for us to start to enjoy whisky from these distilleries again.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Smells very clean. Fresh and grainy, touches of fruit, spice and smoke.
Palate: Malty, spice with toasted oak and a little fruity.
Finish: Again plenty of malt, a touch of white pepper and stewed apples.
