Paul John Single Malts being launched in 2012 and since the launch have won many global awards. Using the wisdom and the extraordinary skill of their Master Distiller Michael D’Souza, the six row barley that is sourced from foothills of Himalayas, the unique micro climate and the pure waters from Goa Paul John Single Malt is able to capture the wonderful aromas and flavours we would expect from our favourite whiskies.
Paul John whisky is oily with plenty of fruity notes, honey sweetness and also rather floral as well as creamy.
The Bold expression is a fully peated single malt. Using peat from Islay in Scotland which is shipped to Indian and the barely is smoked with the peat to release a wonderful peat smoke aroma. The spirit is then matured in ex-Bourbon American oak barrels to produce an exciting and tasteful single malt whisky worthy of any whisky cabinet.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Smoked and toasted barley, farmers hay, Cullen skink, orchards fruits of apple and pear, lemon citrus and dark caramel.
Palate: Bursts of orchard fruits and peat smoke, honey sweetness leads to oak and citrus with some spice.
Finish: Peaty and smoky with peppery spice.
