This single cask single malt whisky was distilled at the Caol Ila distillery before being placed in aRefill Bourbon Hogshead and left to mature for 9 years. It was then transferred to a Pedro Ximenez cask for finishing. In August 2019 it was bottled at 51.8% abv as part of the North Start Cask Series Number 9.
Only 378 bottles were produced for worldwide distribution.
Our Tasting Notes
Nose: Stewed apples and raisins, poached stone fruits and damp oak.
Palate: Fruit and nut, smokey with red berries.
Finish: Orange syrup, char and sweetness.
