The Edinburgh Gin Distillery was established in 2010. Distilled in the heart of Scotland’s capital city it captures this wonderful cities creativity and vibrance.
Edinburgh Cannonball Gin is a gin that lives up to its evocative name. Bottled at 57.2% abv, 100% proof. This higher alcohol content allows the distillers to add more botanicals, strong in both alcohol and flavour. Cannonball is a favourite with bartenders, the balance of juniper, Yuzu and Szechuan pepper married with its punchy strength and full character make it a superb liquid to use in everything from a G&T to classic cocktails, like a Martini or a Negroni.
“The higher alcohol content of navy strength gin allows us to add a greater amount of botanical mass which delivers a HUGE and full flavoured gin. A bartender favourite, the tingly spice of Szechuan pepper balances with zesty Japanese yuzu and loads of big round Tuscan juniper to deliver a burst of flavour which works perfectly in a Dry Martini or Negroni. Tasting Notes
Nose: Powerfully spirited and spicy on the nose.
Palate: Bold juniper with a kick of pepper and piquant spice.
Finish: Lingering spice with fresh citrus notes.
